Who We Are

A familia for girls who know they're more.

Pretty Smart Cookies is an enrichment club for Black and Brown girls, ages 12–18. We create spaces where girls discover their power and learn they belong everywhere, from history and beauty to travel, business, relationships, and athletics.

We're building women who will shape culture, lead industries, and own their narratives.

Representation matters. Mentorship matters. Belonging matters. That's why we exist, to give Black and Brown girls positive role models, trusted mentors, and a sisterhood of peers who understand their experience and share their ambition.

Our Story

The club was born from a simple, powerful truth.

Every young Black and Brown girl deserves a big sister figure to guide, nurture, and champion her dreams.

· ✦ ·

So we built a sisterhood where guidance flows naturally, where curiosity is celebrated, and where girls see their potential reflected in the eyes of the women who came before them.

Pretty Smart Cookies is the bridge between experience and aspiration, a place where the warmth of sisterly mentorship meets the excitement of discovering one's own path. Through travel, art, entrepreneurship, and everything in between, we create spaces where girls can spread their wings under the watchful, caring eyes of women who've walked similar roads.

The club started with 5 girls. Today, we've touched more than 100 cookies across 22 U.S. states and 10 countries. But the heart has stayed the same from day one.

· ✦ ·

Annie Malone built an empire to fund a community. Tracey Ellis Ross built a brand to see a community. Susan L. Taylor built a magazine to heal a community. Pretty Smart Cookies was built in that same tradition — not just a club, but an ecosystem for the girls who will become the next Annie, the next Tracey, the next Susan.

Every cookie deserves to see herself and become who she was always meant to be.
